Words of Praise
Dear Melissa,
I just wanted to thank you. As you know I never had any experience
with the dance world. I never danced as a kid and did not know
anyone that did. Haley was so disappointed 4 years ago when she
tried to sigh up for cheerleading only to find out she was 1 month
to young. Lots of her friends were old enough and she was crushed.
Later that day I opened the Charlton Gazette and saw your ad. Haley
had Irish Stepped for about 4 years and was always dancing around
the house. I asked her since she couldn't cheer would she would she
like to try a real dance studio.
That first year started off shaky. She felt like she couldn't do
lots of the things the other girls that had danced before could do.
I told her to just keep trying and she could catch up I guess the
rest is history. Which brings me back to thanking you.
The past four years at Dance Mechanix have been amazing. Not only
have I learned a lot, we have had such fun. We have both made some
great friends. The competitions have been stressful at times, but
have been a great mother daughter activity that I will always
remember.
You have helped Haley realize and develop her passion. She is truly
dedicated to dance. She has grown in her dancing and enjoys her role
as an assistant. Haley loves dancing with the older girls and they
are good to her and make her feel welcome. This reflects back to you
and the atmosphere you have established at the studio.
I know sometimes that you take a beating from the parents. People
always find it easy to jump to criticize, but are slow to show
appreciation.
Just know that you are appreciated by Haley and I, and we thank you.
Pauline
I
just
wanted to thank you for the extra time you put into this contest.
It really means a lot to us. Some day you will see Courtneyon
Broadway. Her first dance teacher in CO always said that and
you will know you had trained her to be the best she can be. I
think Courtney has come along way over the past 3 years and that is
thanks to you. She was never really given a second glance at
her old studio and you have done so much for us. I also want
to thank Nicole for the extra pep talks she gives Courtney I really
think she is a great mentor and my girls love her. I believe
she is a wonderful asset to your business. I am not just
saying that because we are friends. I truly appreciate all of you.

Melissa
Thanks for being such an amazing dance teacher!!! The
tap teacher at the workshop afterwards told me that I was awesome
and he loved my passion. Such a huge part of that is
because of you, and I know there's no way I'd be where I am today if
it
weren't for you! I love you! ♥ ~ Alicia
Melissa, Just a note to tell you how much I
enjoyed watching all our DMX girls this past weekend. They all
danced beautifully and
demonstrated great class in their behavior and
appearance. After sitting through all of the competition and
watching the obnoxious
antics of some of the other studios, all I can say is
I am so proud of our girls, they are all wonderful young ladies.
Congratulations
to all of you!Proud to be a DMX grandparent,
Marylou ( Maggie's Meme)
Thank-you for sharing that with me....... The elderly
seemed to really enjoy the show, As we were leaving they kept
thanking us......
That really touched me that we can give so little,
and grow as we do it, and touch someone else while we grow as a
group....
Thank-you for the love you have for Tiffany, and what
you see in her. She will grow with the right people behind her.
Tiffany is coming
out of her shell slowly, But I don't believe I could
of done it without you and all the other teachers in your studio.
Thank-you for letting
us grow with you. To truly love someone, you
sometimes have to disagree, but in the end always see what's
best. I am so glad that Tiffany and I found you Melissa. We both
love you, and stand by you. Cheryl
Hi Melissa,
I wanted to send you a quick note
to tell you how impressed I was with the recital show you and
your staff of instructors put together last Saturday! What a
great job everyone did!
I also
wanted to thank you on behalf of myself, and some of the other
parents who mentioned it, for planning the recital early in May.
I know my little girl is very burnt out right about now...not to
mention us parents!...and it was nice
to be able to finish up the dance year with some
air still left in the tires. It makes a huge difference!
And, I also want to mention that it was a nice touch
to have your recital on Mother's Day weekend. That worked out
really well!
Anyway, thanks for a great year and a great
show, Melissa! Super job! Mary

Thank You from the bottom of my
heart!

Dear Melissa,
Well can you believe it?! Alicia is a senior in high school, and
practically all grown up! It is amazing to think about you being such a
wonderful influence in her life for the past ten years!!! You took her
under your wing that first summer she came back to dance after a year long
illness, and helped her not only "catch up" in tap class, but actually put
her ahead! You stood your
ground and kept her in a center spot in ballet even when she wobbled. And
boy have we seen her wobble !
You believed in her and stood up for her when others thought she just wasn't
good enough. When you opened your own studio and she came to you full time you showed her
how much you believe by giving her her first solo "I Believe". And you
believed in her even when she wasn't sure about herself. Remember
Illusions? "THAT'S OKAY ALICIA, I KNOW YOU WILL GET IT!" And she did get
it! Along with just about every other trick twirl spin or kick. (Okay we
can forget about the front walkover out of the box!) I wish I had a
snapshot for every face plant she did, but they will have to remain
wonderful memories along with the beautiful balances, too tightly turned
chaines, and finally pulling off fouettes! Well we are about to enter our final year with her together. I am both
happy and sad. I don't know how we will ever get through the recital this
year, never mind competitions! You have helped to shape Alicia into a
wonderfully well rounded (almost) adult, and incredible dancer. She is so
lucky to have you in her life! So make sure you have plenty of tissues on
hand, cause we are about to begin a whirlwind of a year with lots of
laughter, and plenty of tears! I BELIEVE you have given her a dream! She could call out HEY BIG SPENDER to
try and attract some attention, but there is no need because you taught her
to FLY! Some might say you GOTTA GET A GIMMICK to get ahead in this world,
but WHEN YOU BELIEVE in someone the way you believe in Alicia everything
turns out beautiful like THE ROSE. I could go on and on about how wonderful
you have been to her and STUFF LIKE THAT THERE, but let's just SCRATCH that
and I'll just say from the bottom of MY HEART:
THANK YOU!!!! Karen
