                                    Duos..........................................$130/dancer + $15.00 studio fee/dancer

                                    Trios..........................................$100/dancer + $15.00 studio fee/dancer

*Above fees are based on a 6-8 hour choreography schedule.  Any additional choreography time will be $25/additional hour and will be available upon parent request or choreographer discretion.

                                   Small and Large Groups...............$75.00/dancer

                                    Production (16+ dancers).............$35.00/dancer

*No studio fees for group and production specialty numbers.

Competition Attire:  Dancers need to make sure that they are dressed appropriately at all workshops and competitions.  When attending dance workshops you are required to wear a black or solid colored leotard and tan or pink tights.  Do not attend workshops with loose fitting clothing over appropriate dancewear.  Black jazz pants are allowed for tap and hip hop classes.  Make sure you have the appropriate dance shoes and that your hair is neat and secured in a bun.  Male dancers should dress in black jazz pants / shorts and a t-shirt.

Dancers need to be wearing Dance Mechanix clothing at competitions and workshops when they are not dancing.  This includes while warming up, taking a break, and during awards.  Clothing sales occur each fall and occasionally during other times of the year.  We are aware that other studios allow their dancers to dress in various fashion.  At Dance Mechanix School of Dance we are trying to promote a positive attitude and believe this starts with basic respect with how you present yourself to others by the way you are dressed both in the studio and at outside dance functions.

Attitude:  ALL intensive dancers are expected to attend all competitions and workshops with a positive attitude, and to be supportive of other dancers, both from your studio and outside studios.  Laughing at/making fun of someone, or rude comments will not be tolerated.  Everyone needs to be respectful of others.  Be supportive of all dancers, including your competitors.  Dancing is a sport that requires sportsmanship and a positive attitude.  This is a young studio.  Let’s start off on the right foot, and create ourselves a good reputation in the dance world. Remember, being YOUR best does not always mean you are THE best.  So support each other and ALL dancers to be THEIR best!

IMPORTANT!!!

PLEASE do not send your child without adult supervision to any competition or workshop.  If for some reason you can not accompany your child, please make arrangements for another adult to accompany your child in your place.

Everyone is responsible for their own belongings, both in the studio and at competitions / workshops.  Be sure to clearly mark all costume pieces and shoes with your child’s name or initials.  Make sure all your costumes are on hangers and in a garment bag.  It is very helpful if you have a portable clothing rack to hang costumes on.  Please do not assume that it is all right for you to hang costumes on other dancers racks.  Some dancers have as many as ten costumes that they need to keep track of and having extra costumes on their racks can cause a lot of confusion.

Competition Fees must be paid on time.  If fees are not received by the deadline posted at the studio, Solo, Duos and Trio dances will not be entered.  For groups, a late fee of $15.00 per dance (in addition to the $7.00 studio fee) will be charged to dancers who do not submit their fees on time.

None of the workshops are required but we feel it would benefit the dancers to do at least 2 of them.

Specialty numbers and solos can be competed for two years.  Please expect to compete the same specialties, solos, productions etc for consecutive dance seasons.
